After graduating with a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Rajah started working in the camera department for numerous independent films, television, and production companies. While doing so he directed his first post-college film entitled, “Worm Free Society”. This short went on to win several awards including Best Scifi at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. He worked many years as a Freelance Cinematographer and Video producer before moving to New York City in 2016. While there, he collaborated with Sudeep Kanwal to create a beautiful short film – “The Other End” which subsequently went on to win Best Short Film at the Sene Film Festival and became the Remi Winner at the Houston World Fest. The two of them has previously working on another hit short entitled “Silent Wave” in 2011 which picked up a Best Director, Best Picture and Best Cinematography award in the film festival circuit. He built strong relationships with a few production companies in New York, LA and New Jersey and has been freelancing, ever since. Using his experience as a filmmaker and visual storyteller, he’s able to nurture up-and-coming Filmmakers in their film journey. While doing so, his Director of Photography work has helped them screen across the world from Mumbai and New York to Cannes. These collaborations have won over 40 awards.
